Review: Joss Grill Set

Image
Review: Joss Beach Grill Set Company: American Girl Retails: $55.00 USD This review is for the Joss Grill Set which was part of American Girl's summer release. Item can be found  here Joss Kendrick, Girl of the Year 2020, has brought us yet another california beach themed item and that is her beach grill set. The set comes with the grill, 2 beach drinks, 2 corn on the cob, 2 tamales, 2 kabobs, 2 plates in Joss' colour scheme and a pair of tongs. The coolest part of this set is that the three food items can be "cooked" under the light of the bbq. I think this item will be enjoyed by children and adult collectors alike. It also appears to fold up and fit in the back of the VW bus. This is a cute accessory set to complete any backyard bash or trip to the beach.

Review: American Girl Salon Chair and Wrap Set

Review: Salon Chair and Wrap Set Company: American Girl This review is for the newest version of the Salon Chair set available at American Girl. Item can be found  here . I looked at this chair for months before I finally decided to purchase it. I read many reviews that depicted it as a cute accessory for your child to play with but more trouble than it was worth. The set comes with a wrap towel for your doll to wear, a hair band to keep hair pulled back and just for fun a cute pair of salon flip flops. I am so happy to say I took those reviews, like most with a grain of salt. I am an adult collector and I actually struggle with holding the doll and working on her at the same time. This chair not only has a beautiful aesthetic, but it is functionable too. I will admit that the suction bottom doesnt work as well as I would hope but I have had no issue keeping the chair in one position. There is a small velcro belt to keep your doll firmly secure in the chair and just like a rea...

First Order Arrives

Image
Hey Guys and Dolls, So we all probably know everything is slower and delayed at the moment with most employers operating on smaller crews if at all. The postal service is very much the same. With an increase of online shopping, warehouses and post is overrun. But after it saying it was supposed to arrive 'today' for the past week, my first order finally trickled in. Truly Me 86: normally I don't collect the TrulyMe/JustLikeYou line simply because the characters and their stories are usually what bonds me to a doll. With the exception  of TM 76 because I wanted a boy doll who looked like my husband. However, when I saw the spring releases of 86 and 88 I knew I was in love and eventually would have to get my hands on one of the purple haired beauties. As others around the globe started to share their pics of TM 86 I wanted her all the more. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous, but honestly her skin and eyes are perfect. Eyes are always hard to judge in pictures but hers ar...

Retail Therapy

Hello my Loves! In light of recent events it is that much more crucial we keep our minds and hearts occupied. I can't be the only one who has succumbed to retail therapy in order to maintain my mental health. I made several orders yesterday between AmericanGirl.com and Etsy and am excited to work on my doll collection. My new TrulyMe #86 will be the ninth addition to my collection.  How are you guys keeping sane? ~Athena~

Historical Collection grows

Image
Hey guys! Sorry for not keeping you up to date. In November, I added Emily Bennet to my collection. So far she has been one of my favorites. Her and Kit. For Christmas I got Julie Albright and the Hit the Slopes outfit. Also in december I finally managed to locate all Molly Macintyre's meet accessories and she looks completely different. In just a few short months, my collection has grown quite a bit. I am also waiting on Joss Kendrick and look forward to adding Blaire Wilson to my GOTY collection. ~Athena~
