First Order Arrives
Hey Guys and Dolls,
So we all probably know everything is slower and delayed at the moment with most employers operating on smaller crews if at all. The postal service is very much the same. With an increase of online shopping, warehouses and post is overrun. But after it saying it was supposed to arrive 'today' for the past week, my first order finally trickled in.
Truly Me 86: normally I don't collect the TrulyMe/JustLikeYou line simply because the characters and their stories are usually what bonds me to a doll. With the exception of TM 76 because I wanted a boy doll who looked like my husband.
However, when I saw the spring releases of 86 and 88 I knew I was in love and eventually would have to get my hands on one of the purple haired beauties. As others around the globe started to share their pics of TM 86 I wanted her all the more. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous, but honestly her skin and eyes are perfect. Eyes are always hard to judge in pictures but hers are a lighter softer brown.
I also wanted to comment on just how cute the current TM meet outfit is. Initially I had tried unsuccessfully to find it being sold separately. And if you or your doll collector loves glitter and sparkle, the pristine white glitter shoes will not dissappoint.
Raspberry Doll Glasses: the next item I ordered was a pair of raspberry pink doll glasses. I had heard mixed reviews but honestly I like them. They dont fall off too bad if you tuck them into hair above the ears but they are difficult to keep perfectly straight if you have OCD tendencies. I think they give an added flair of personality. I myself wear glasses so I thought this was a must. AmericanGirl also includes a cute felt carry case which I thought was a nice touch.
Dinomite Outfit: AmericanGirl has not made very many boy outfits outside of Logan's small collection, but there are a few in the TrulyMe line. I have a little bit of an obsession with dinosaurs so when I saw this I knew I needed it for my TM76. The material is high quality that we have come to expect from AG and with most things looks even better in person. Honestly though, my favorite part of the entire outfit is the shoes.
Rebecca's Nightgown:
Rebecca is on my wish list, but I decided I needed more pajamas for my dolls. Although Rebecca is from 1914 and this full length gown is styled after that time, I remember having similar cotton nightgowns as a child in the 1990s. The only surprise to me is the material. I was expecting it to be soft like Emily's Pajamas but it's more of a thinner material.
Freshly Picked Tank/Market Day Skirt: these are the first pieces I've bought from the Mix and Match line of products I really like them so far. The material is thin but very soft.
Joss' Shine Bright PJs: I absolutely love the sleeve material on Joss' pajamas it is so soft. I wish my own pj tops were as soft on the skin. The bottoms are more of a spandex tight material rather than the soft cotton bottons I expected but still super cute. They have been on my list since I got Joss in January. I also love her slippers!
That's all for this package. Stay tuned for more of my covid quarantine doll purchases. Stay safe my loves!
